Patrolling

Pen-y-Bont SLSC patrols the main beach at Ogmore-by-Sea.

Pen-y-Bont SLSC prides itself on being one of the best patrolling surf clubs in the country. Over the last 3 decades many lives have been saved by actions taken by volunteer surf lifeguards at Ogmore-by-Sea.

As a minimum requirement, all active senior members should acquire the NARS Beach Lifeguard award. This award requires a basic level of fitness and swimming competency and instruction in rescue and resuscitation techniques

If you have not been allocated to a patrol, it is your responsibilty to contact the Club Captain.
